Pelvic Health

Pelvic health physiotherapy provides specialist assessment and evidence-based treatment for people experiencing symptoms related to pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel symptoms, and pregnancy or postnatal concerns. Using a holistic and individualised approach, treatment is tailored to each individual and aims to restore function, reduce symptoms, and support long-term wellbeing and confidence in a supportive and comfortable environment.


Conditions that Catherine can treat include


Bladder:

  • urgency
  • incontinence (leakage)


Bowels:

  • constipation
  • evacuation difficulties
  • incontinence (leakage)


Pelvic organ prolapse


Pelvic Pain


Pregnancy and postnatal rehabilitation

 

Sexual dysfunction:

  • vaginismus 
  • dyspareunia


Lymphoedema

Catherine has been trained by the Lymphoedema training academy  to manage lymphoedema of the arm and upper body for those people who have undergone treatment for breast cancer and experienced lymphoedema as a result. She is trained in fluoroscopy guided manual lymphatic drainage (FG-MLD) using the evidence based fill and flush technique. 


The treatments that she can offer for Lymphoedema include:

  • FG-MLD
  • multi layer bandaging
  • limb volume measurements and compression garment advice

Breast Cancer Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

 Physiotherapy after breast cancer treatment supports recovery following surgery, radiotherapy, and other cancer treatments. Treatment is tailored to each individual to help with pain, tightness, scar sensitivity, axillary web syndrome (cording), reduced shoulder movement and weakness.

Using a gentle and supportive approach, physiotherapy aims to restore movement, improve comfort and confidence, and help you return to everyday activities and exercise at your own pace.
