I am a specialist physiotherapist with expertise in pelvic health, breast cancer rehabilitation, lymphoedema management and scar therapy.
I have over 20 years' experience as a Physiotherapist. I specialise in pelvic health physiotherapy, breast cancer rehabilitation, lymphoedema management and scar therapy, helping women regain confidence, improve their quality of life and return to the activities that matter most to them.
I founded Embody Physiotherapy and Lymphatic Care to create a different kind of physiotherapy experience - one where women feel listened to, supported and empowered. From my private home-based physiotherapy clinic in Newcastle Great Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. I provide expert, one-to-one care in a calm and welcoming environment where appointments are never rushed.
I have always had an interest in pelvic health and cancer care since being a student and feeling inspired after a placement. Then after I had experienced challenges following the birth of my children I was drawn back to pelvic health and breast cancer rehabilitation because I wanted to support people through some of the most personal and life-changing stages of their lives, helping them gain confidence along with physical function.
I understand that pelvic health concerns and the effects of breast cancer treatment can impact far more than physical health. They can affect confidence, work, relationships, exercise and everyday life. My aim is to create a safe and reassuring space where you can feel comfortable discussing sensitive concerns and confident that you'll be treated with dignity, respect and understanding.
Each treatment is tailored to the individual, combining evidence-based physiotherapy with a gentle, holistic approach. Whether you are seeking help with bladder or bowel symptoms, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy or postnatal recovery, post-surgical tightness, lymphatic concerns, or returning to exercise after treatment, your care will always be guided by your goals, lifestyle, and stage of recovery.
I believe physiotherapy should feel supportive, informative, and centred around the individual.
My role is not only to treat symptoms, but to help you understand your body, regain confidence in your movement and develp the knowledge and tools to manage your recovery long after your appointments have finished.
Treatment may include:
Every appointment is designed to give you the time to ask questions, understand your condition and feel fully supported throughout your recovery.
Whether you're recovering after breast cancer treatment, managing pelvic health or pelvic floor symptoms or living with lymphoedema, my aim is always the same - to help you feel stronger, more comfortable and confident in your body.
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist BSc (Hons). HCPC-registered, and a member of both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy Society (POGP).
Alongside more than 20 years of clinical experience, I have undertaken extensive postgraduate training in pelvic health physiotherapy, breast cancer rehabilitation, scar therapy, and lymphoedema management. This specialist training allows me to provide personalised, evidence-based care tailored to your individual need
